The Nationals ended the three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies with a 4-2 win, preventing a sweep at the hands of their division rivals. Holding a 5.17 ERA this season, Washington pitching corps led by starter Brad Lord collectively delivered a solid outing on the mound, hounding the Phillies to 2 and 9 hits.
