The Chicago White Sox (11-15, 4-6 Home) will try to build off their recent success when they host the Washington Nationals today in Game Two of a three-game weekend series. Fans can follow the action from Rate Field in Chicago, IL, on MLB.TV once the game gets underway at 4:10 p.m. EST.
Chicago returned home yesterday after a successful road trip that saw them beat the Athletics and Diamondbacks, 2-1, in each series. The good times continued with the White Sox winning a competitive game with a go-ahead sacrifice fly by Sam Antonacci in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Noah Schultz is scheduled to start for the White Sox on the mound today. Schultz is 1-1 in two starts with a 3.86 ERA and .96 WHIP. The White Sox have not asked him to go too far into a game yet; he went 4 1/3 in his first start (April 14 vs. Tampa Bay) and 5 in his second (April 19 vs. the Athletics). As for Nationals starter Jake Irvin, he has gone 1-3 in five starts with a 6.00 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP. He, too, has not gone deep into games, lasting five innings in four of five starts.

Our Chicago White Sox vs Washington Nationals Prediction
It feels strange to say it, but the White Sox have been on kind of a roll of late, with wins in four of their last five and five of their last seven. The lineup has been one of the best in baseball over the last week, hitting .289 with 16 home runs. Washington, on the other hand, has hit .218, which makes me think the run line may be the way to go. But they’ve also hit 11 home runs. Irvin has struggled, but I don’t know how much faith I want to put in Schultz after two short starts. So, rather than go for the better-priced run line market, I’m just going for the win.
