Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan will begin his quest for a fifth ATP title in 2025, taking on the upset-minded Vitaly Sachko of Ukraine in the second round of the 2025 Metz Open on Wednesday.

Bublik is hot off his first ATP 1000 semifinal appearance at the 2025 Paris Masters last week. The Kazakh picked up three straight victories, including top-10 wins over Taylor Fritz and Alex De Minaur, before falling to Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-7, 4-6 in the semis. Bublik now ranks No.13 in the world in the latest ATP rankings.
Ranked No.222 in the world, Sachko stunned the hard-hitting Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard 7-6, 6-3 to reach the round of 16 at the 2025 Metz Open. Sachko pulled off the win by holding 100 percent of his serves and scoring a key break in the second set to put away Perricard for good.
