However, based on what we've seen from the pair in recent times, I just cannot see why Vit Kopriva isn't a stronger favorite. The Czech player has been playing some fabulous clay-court tennis, impressing more than Juan Manuel Cerundolo, so much so that he really should be shorter than odds of -115 to win this.
Kopriva is likely the fresher player too having won each of his Rio matches in straight sets. Meanwhile, Cerundolo has needed three sets in each of his Rio matches, and I'm just not convinced that the early market reflects this accurately enough. In other words, take the value that -115 offers.
