The NHL Central Division isn’t expected to provide any surprises throughout the season, as the Colorado Avalanche and the Dallas Stars are expected to dominate it. Despite that, some other teams like the Nashville Predators will try hard to qualify for the playoffs after failing to become a competitive team during the last season. With that objective in mind, the Predators will face the Utah Mammoth next Saturday night at Bridgestone Arena.

For this game, the Predators are expected to show the same defensive consistency they had against the Hurricanes and the Columbus Blue Jackets, as they didn’t concede more than two goals in those games. However, their offense is still showing some difficulties after only being able to score two goals on Opening Night against the Blue Jackets. The good news for them is that Ryan O’Reilly and Filip Forsberg were able to connect to score the winning goal in that game.

Meanwhile, the Utah Mammoth is the only team that underwent a rebranding for the current season, and even though they lost a two-game winning streak after their 1-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Opening Night, this team could turn into one of the outliers of the season if they manage to qualify for the playoffs. In this regard, Dylan Guenther and Mikhail Sergachyov must try to remain the offensive leaders throughout the season for the team to become relevant in their division.
