The Utah Mammoth will wrap up a three-game road trip on Wednesday night by visiting the Detroit Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena.
Utah has had a tough time over the last couple of months, suffering several losing streaks. The team holds a decent 16-15-3 record, but half of Utah’s wins came in October. Andre Tourigny made a great start with his side, winning eight of the first 10 games.
The Red Wings have gone 18-12-3 and are battling for first place in the Atlantic Division. The team hasn’t made the playoffs in nine seasons, but it looks like the poor spell will end in 2026. Detroit has regained its spot among the best sides in the Eastern Conference despite having a disappointing .888 save percentage.
Both teams will be without key players in Motown on Wednesday. The Red Wings have started the week without Patrick Kane, while the Mammoth have a long-term absentee in Logan Cooley. Even with Cooley in the lineup, Utah has struggled for consistent offense, and the team could face some really tough times without him.
Kane is having somewhat of a renaissance this season, averaging close to a point per game, and his absence is a blow for Detroit. However, the team remained competitive without Kane earlier in the campaign, going 4-4-0 over an eight-game stretch.

Our Utah Mammoth vs Detroit Red Wings Prediction
Utah has not been the same team since its red-hot start to the season, and it could be a long night for them at Little Caesars Arena. The Red Wings began this week on the back of a 4-1-0 run and have looked full of goals recently. They have scored at least four times in six of their last seven games.
While Utah’s recent wins include away triumphs over Pittsburgh, Vancouver, and Anaheim, the team has tasted victory only four times on the road since the start of November. Tourigny’s men don’t seem to be comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings.
Our prediction for Utah Mammoth vs. Detroit Red Wings: Red Wings to win in regulation.
