The NHL's 4 Nations Face-Off could give us a glimpse of the finals when the hosts, Canada, take on their arch-rivals, the USA, on Saturday night. This is deemed the 'mother-of-all-clashes' at this mid-season tournament since both sides are the outright favorites to win it. Team Canada started the tournament slowly, needing an overtime effort from Mitch Marner to defeat the determined Sweden 4-3. This result means they are second in the standings with 2 points.
Team USA, meanwhile, sits at the top of the standings after sweeping aside Finland 6-1 on Thursday night. The Tkachuk brothers (Matthew and Brady) combined to score 4 goals and held the United States breeze past the defensively weak Scandinavian side. However, they'll know that Team Canada is a strong opponent, especially with local bragging rights on the line. This could be an incredible theater on Saturday night at the Ball Centre.

Our Canada (Nhl Selection) vs USA (Nhl Selection) Prediction
Even bookmakers are finding it hard to call this matchup. The Canadians are the slight favorites here, with bookies giving them a slim 39% win probability. Conversely, Team USA has a 38% probability of walking away with all the points. Both opponents are well stocked, from goalies to forwards. However, goaltending could make all the difference, with both teams enjoying excellent attacking threats. Team USA could have an edge thanks to Hallebuyck, who was the best goalie in the NHL last season. He also has excellent defensemen, led by Zach Werenski and Brock Faber. Overall, the USA could spend most of the night in Canada's zone. Our prediction for Canada vs USA: Over 6 goals at regular time
