Germany take on the USA in a friendly international in Chicago on Saturday, as both sides look to finalise their preparations ahead of this month's World Cup. 

The USA have had a mixed bag of results so far this year, picking up impressive wins over the likes of Senegal and Uruguay, but coming up short against strong European opposition in the form of Belgium and Portugal. Expectations in the States are sky high ahead of a home tournament, and victory over a strong German side this week will only swell those expectations even further. 

Germany are currently on an eight game winning run that has included five consecutive World Cup qualifying victories, plus friendly successes over Switzerland, Ghana and Finland. This is far from a vintage German team, but following a few fallow years, hopes are rising that Julian Nagelsmann's side could make a deep run at this Summer's World Cup.
