Finland looks to keep its perfect record intact at the 2026 IIHF World Championship in a matchup with the USA on Monday at the Swiss Life Arena in Zurich, Switzerland.
The Finns, who are hunting their fifth World Championship gold, have opened the tournament with wins over Germany and Hungary. The team has scored seven goals while limiting both opponents to just one goal each. Former NHL winger Jesse Puljujarvi is dominating the scoring charts with five points (three goals, two assists).
Following a hot start, Finland is expected to enjoy further success on Monday, as bookmakers have made the team an odds-on favorite for the matchup. The United States is the defending champion and has already won gold at the Olympics this year, but the roster is completely different at this tournament.
