The Americans were on a service tear against Brazil with TJ Defalco tallying seven kills, seven aces, and two blocks. This win means that the United States now follows Japan in securing a spot at the Volleyball Nations League 2026 Finals in China. That was their second victory this week after earlier flooring China 3-0. They’re the heavy favorites to win again this weekend.
Bulgaria, meanwhile, was swept aside 3-0 by the defending champions, Poland, in their Week 3 opener. This defeat saw the Europeans drop to 5-4, whereas Poland improved to 7-2 in this tournament. But despite the defeat, they’ve shown significant improvement, sitting tenth in the table with 14 points. This means they can still secure a spot in the Final Eight and qualify for the Finals if they pull off an upset against the United States.
