Stage 11: Vichy to Nevers Predictions & Betting tips - Tour de France

 by Tyler Doty |

It’s back to business as usual this Wednesday, July 15, with the 11th stage of the Tour de France between Vichy and Nevers. A sprinter’s route featuring flat, flat, and more flat terrain over the 161.3 km, which is expected to conclude with a bunch sprint.

There are only two short climbs to tackle on this 11th day on the roads of the Tour de France: the Côte de Billonnière (1 km at 5.8%) and the Côte de Billy-Chevannes (1.4 km at 5%), two ascents that are unlikely to have any impact on the final result.

With two wins already under his belt in this 2026 Tour de France, Tim Merlier will have another opportunity to raise his arms in victory. The Belgian is the best sprinter in the peloton, and with potential sprint finishes likely to be few and far between in the second half of this Tour de France, the Soudal Quick-Step team will not want to miss this chance to set up their leader perfectly for victory.

Since his victory in Pau, Olav Kooij has racked up several top-three finishes without managing to secure a second win. The Dutchman is nonetheless very fast and, above all, confident; and even if his Decathlon team isn’t set up to lead him out, he can make his way to the front on his own.

Although he hasn’t made much of a splash so far, Biniam Girmay has often been among the leaders, with two top-3 finishes already under his belt. The rider from the NSN Cycling Team is in great form, and in Nevers, there’s no doubt that Biniam Girmay will be a force to be reckoned with. Could victory be within his reach this time?
