The Minnesota Timberwolves have been having a tough time through these first couple of games of the season. Tonight, they host the visiting Toronto Raptors, who have Kawhi Leonard back on their squad this season and arguably have been having just as much fun as these Timberwolves.
Minnesota has started the season 2-0 with wins over Miami and Orlando. The win over Miami, who added Giannis over the offseason, was an impressive win. They put up 131 in the win and held the Heat to just 106. Anthony Edwards dropped 45 points and grabbed 10 boards in the opening win. LaMelo Ball added 21 and dropped 6 dimes. The duo then combined for 27 points in the 115-93 win over the Magic in their next game.
Like Minnesota, the Raptors have started 2-0 through their 1st two games of the season. They annihilated the Bulls in the opener, 135-92. Leanord, Quickly, Barnes, and Barrett all scored 20 or more points in the blowout win. In the win, they forced 27 turnovers from the Bulls. In their next game, Barnes and Barrett combined for 51 points in the 112-102 victory. They grabbed 19 offensive boards and forced 20 turnovers in the win. If they continue to force 20+ turnovers from the opposition, they will be tough to beat this season.
