Few expected the Mariners, after playing 15 innings against the Tigers in the final game of the AL Division Series and a long trip to Toronto, to win the first game of the AL Championship Series against the Blue Jays. But they did, thanks to exceptional starting pitching and a consistent bullpen, and not only that, Seattle also took Game 2 in a 10-3 rout.

The Mariners, of course, must be careful not to get overconfident; Mitch Garver is the first to emphasize this; in fact, he said that while it may seem like they have the series wrapped up upon their return to T-Mobile Field, that's by no means the case.

But with the Mariners as -135 favorites in the Game 3 odds, bettors do believe the Mariners will take this series by storm. This isn't just a response to J-Rod and Polanco's tremendously strong playoff run, but also to how lost the Blue Jays' bats have looked in this series, the complete opposite of what happened against the Yankees.
