The Milwaukee Brewers (9-8) snapped their losing streak last night when they defeated this same Toronto Blue Jays (7-10) team by the score of 2-1. Chad Patrick was strong for the Brew Crew once again. He went 6.2 innings and allowed just 1 run. That run came in the 1st inning and was what separated the teams until the bottom of the 8th. There, William Contreras knocked in one to tie the game, and Brice Turang picked up an RBI groundout to take a 2-1 lead. Abner Uribe came in to close the game for the Brewers in the 9th.

Today, for the Blue Jays, Patrick Corbin will be on the hill. This will be Corbin’s second start of the season. He only lasted 4 innings in his 1st go, which came against the Twins. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits. He finished last year with decent numbers compared to his standard while pitching for the Rangers.

On the other side, the Brewers will have Brandon Sproat throwing. Sproat is carrying a 10.45 ERA on the season through his 1st three starts. While he was decent in his last start against the Nationals, he had really struggled in the previous two starts. He has yet to complete 4 innings of work in a start this season and has walked 10 batters in that time.

Both teams should have ample opportunities to post crooked numbers on the board today. Neither starting pitcher strikes fear into either of these lineups.
