Kansas City Royals vs Toronto Blue Jays Prediction & Picks - MLB

The Toronto Blue Jays are swinging some hot bats lately. Today, they look to complete the sweep of the Kansas City Royals on the road and keep their record above the .500 mark.

The Blue Jays jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the 1st inning of game one. They then extended that lead to 8-1 in the 6th inning, and ultimately won 9-2. Jameson Tailon only went 2 innings in the win due to an injury, but the bullpen picked him up and allowed just 1 run in their 7 innings of combined work. Springer, Kirk, and Clement all hit doubles and knocked in 2 runs apiece.

Game two was a much closer contest. The Jays scored again in the 1st to take a 2-0 lead. However, the Royals fought back quickly and tied it back up after their 1st at-bats. After an Okamoto RBI double in the 3rd and a John Rave home run in the 4th, the game was tied 3-3 heading into the 7th inning. There, Okamoto picked up another RBI when he singled in George Springer. Louis Varland closed the door on the Royals in the 9th and picked up his 33rd save of the year.
