The Baltimore Orioles and the Toronto Blue Jays meet again Saturday to begin a new three-game series at Oriole Park.
The Orioles are coming into the series hoping to regain their winning form after dropping three of their last four games, including back-to-back losses to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Baltimore rank in the middle of the pack in batting averages (.241) and total runs (55), which place 15th and 13th respectively. However, they are a lot worse on the pitching side as the fall in the bottom 10 in ERA (4.54), WHIP (1.39) and BAA (.267).
The Blue Jays lost the series finale against the Boston Red Sox 4-3 but still ended up as the true winner by taking the first three of the four-game showpiece. The Jays are batting .254 with 52 runs and pitching a 3.21 ERA with 126 strikeouts this season.

Prediction: The Orioles arrested their two-game slide with a massive win in Game 2 behind a spectacular outing from Tomoyuki Sugano.
The Orioles have been dominant at home when playing against the Jays of late, winning four of their last five meetings at Oriole Park. Sugano making his third start on Saturday gives me another reason to believe the Orioles will be winning Game 1. Sugano is hot off a strong outing versus the Kansas City Royals, holding them to one run in 5.1 innings. The Jays, a terrific team against the spread with an 11-3 ATS record this season, will be fielding starter Bowden Frances. Frances is a serviceable pitcher with a 3.08 ERA, but I think Sugano will outduel and outshine him in this matchup with some help from a reenergized batting corps.
