The 2025 Leagues Cup action is now coming thick and fast, and we're back down to business on Tuesday evening, when Tigres and LAFC will clash at the California venue of BMO Stadium. It's been smooth sailing for the Mexicans in this competition so far, with Tigres first battering the Houston Dynamo, scoring four goals on their way to what was a simple win, while they followed up nicely with a 2-1 victory over San Diego last time out, making it two wins from two, with six goals scored and only two conceded. So far, so good.
For the LAFC boys, it hasn't quite been as easy. First time out in the Leagues Cup, Steve Cherundolo's team struggled to dominate against Mazatlan, tying 1-1, before losing on penalties. They perked up last time out, but not by much. Again, they tied 1-1, but this time, they got over the line via a shootout. Can they now deliver a better all-round performance? Well, they've got home advantage, but they're up against a very strong Tigres team, so this won't be easy.
