St. Louis Cardinals vs Texas Rangers Prediction & Picks - MLB

The St. Louis Cardinals (55-52) take on the Texas Rangers (52-56) in game three of what will now be a rubber match after each team took one of the 1st two games. We unfortunately were on the wrong side of yesterday’s game as Scherzer was knocked around through his 4 innings of work and allowed 3 runs on 4 hits. However, reliever Cody Bradford, was who allowed the game to get completely out of hand as he allowed 5 runs through just 2 innings of middle relief work. Tommy Pham capped things off for the Cardinals as he launched a grand slam into deep right center to close out the scoring 8-1. Today, Andrew Heaney (4-10, 3.77) will be tasked with keeping this Cardinals lineup quiet. After holding the potent Orioles offense to just 3 hits and no runs, Heaney followed that by allowing 4 runs over 5 innings against the Blue Jays in his last start. The Cards will look to Michael McGreevy, who will be making his big-league debut. The 2021 1st round selection out of UC Santa Barbara will have his hands full against this Texas lineup that 16th in on-base percentage and has some big-time bats in the middle of the order.
