Texas got back on the right side of the scoreboard in the series opener vs. Pittsburgh with a 6-2 win over the Pirates at PNC Park yesterday. They’ll try to make it two in a row when the Rangers and Pittsburgh face off in Game 2 of the series today at 4:05 p.m. EST.

The road has not been kind to the Rangers this season (14-23), but it certainly helps when you get six strong innings from the starting pitcher; Jacob deGrom gave up five hits and two runs while striking out seven and retiring the first 11 batters he faced. They also got a pair of home runs, one from Adolis Garcia and Corey Seager, his first since May 10. The bullpen held the Pittsburgh lineup to four hits across the final three innings to secure the win. Texas will turn to Kumar Rocker to start the day. He had a solid outing his last time out with five shutout innings vs. the White Sox (June 15). However, he is 2-4 in six starts with a 7.31 ERA. The Pirates will give the ball to Mitch Keller to start. He is 1-9 this season across 15 starts with a 4.08 ERA. But he has done some of his best work on the road this season (1-3 in six starts with a 3.16 ERA).
