The Rockies also had their bats going in their last game as they defeated the Giants 9-1 on Thursday. Cal Quantrill pitched 6 innings and allowed just 1 run on 5 hits. Brenton Doyle smashed his 4th homerun of the season and added a double while picking up 3 RBIs in the win. This game, the Rangers will start Andrew Heaney (0-4, 4.50) while the Rockies turn to Ryan Feltner (1-3, 5.54). On paper, these teams are nowhere near the same in terms of batting averages. The Rangers are hitting .258 which ranks 3rd overall in MLB. The Rockies are 19th with a .239 combined batting average.
