Cleveland must win Sunday’s regular-season finale with the Rangers to clinch the division title. Cleveland wins their regular-season series against Detroit 8-5 to earn the tiebreaker in case of a tie.
Already eliminated from the playoffs, the Rangers will try to play the spoiler’s role in Cleveland’s bid to win the AL Central title on Sunday. Texas had won four straight head-to-head matches against the Guardians before dropping 2-3 loss on Saturday.
