After the All-Star Break, the AL West and NL East leaders are facing off in an intriguing series at Truist Park. The Rangers and Braves split their games and will play a rubber match on Sunday; the visitors are favored at -120 odds in the sportsbooks to win.
In a way, the Rangers redeemed themselves on Saturday for what had happened in the previous game. On Friday, the Rangers were blown out by the Braves, losing 15-1. For Atlanta, the ever-reliable Olson hit his 26th home run of the season; Harris added an RBI double, and Rilye hit his 10th home run of the year, while Sale dominated on the mound.
Saturday's game was a truly great game of baseball that Texas won. Pederson hit a leadoff home run for the Rangers; in the bottom of the second, the Braves rallied for four runs, and in the top of the sixth, the Rangers responded with four runs of their own in an inning highlighted by Carter's two-run homer and Nimmo's go-ahead single that drove in two more runs.
