During the early hours of Friday morning, there's an interesting clash at the WTA event in Hobart, Australia, where two up-and-coming talents will clash in what should be an entertaining semi-final. Playing on home soil, Taylah Preston has played some fantastic tennis this week, with the 20-year-old clearly enjoying the conditions in Hobart, where she has beaten three top-100 players without losing a set. Last time out, she brushed aside world number 29 and Grand Slam winner Emma Raducanu. Such an effort tells me she'll fancy herself to reach the final at the expense of a player two years younger than herself.
Of course, Iva Jovic is a very talented teenager. She's not ranked at number 30 in the world without good reason, though so far in Hobart, she hasn't exactly delivered her best tennis. At the very least, she hasn't played any better than Preston, who really does deserve a bit more respect in the early market.

She's a rapidly improving player and she's full of confidence right now., Let's be real, the young Aussie just beat the world number 29 in straight sets, looking super confident in doing so, and I really don't think the betting market is paying enough attention to that.
With the backing of the crowd, Preston could easily upset Jovic, who is similar to Radacanu in terms of quality. Frankly, she should be a shorter price to do so. If we can get odds of +125, which we can at the time of writing, on her to, at the very least, avoid a straight set defeat, then we should take them and run.
