New York Yankees vs Tampa Bay Rays Prediction & Picks - MLB

The top teams in the AL East will begin a 4-game series this afternoon. The division-leading Tampa Bay Rays will be on the road against the New York Yankees. They currently hold a 6-game lead in the division, but this 4-game set could make things very interesting down the stretch. Things will begin with a doubleheader today, but we are focused on the 2nd game later this evening.

These teams played back in early July in another 4-game series where each team took 2 of the games. More recently, the Rays have been having more success. They have won 8 of their last 9 games and are coming off a 2-1 series win over the Boston Red Sox. They held Boston to just a single run in each of the last 2 games. Chandler Simpson was hot in those games. He finished 3-for-7 with 2 RBIs in those 2 wins.

New York started the month off hot. They won 10 of their first 13 games, but have since lost 3 of their last 4. Aaron Judge landed back on the IL recently and has caused issues for the middle of the lineup. They are coming off back-to-back losses to the Arizona Diamondbacks, where they allowed a total of 13 runs.
