The Milwaukee Brewers will try to close out their six-game season-opening homestand with a win on Wednesday afternoon when they host the Tampa Bay Rays in the third of a three-game series. Play is scheduled to start at 1:40 p.m. EST with coverage provided by MLB.TV.
After opening the season with a three-game sweep of the Chicago White Sox, the Brewers lost game one of their series vs. the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday, March 30, 3-2. But they rebounded in Game Two on Tuesday with a 6-2 win over the Rays. Tampa Bay took a 2-0 lead with home runs in the first and fifth innings. Then the Brewers closed out the scoring with six runs scattered over the bottom of the fifth, sixth, and eighth innings.
Tampa Bay will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard by sending Drew Rasmussen to the mound to start the day. He started the season opener for the Rays against the Cardinals, threw five solid innings (four hits, one earned run, two strikeouts), but got a no-decision. Jacob Misiorowski is scheduled to start for the Brewers. He got the win in his first start vs. the White Sox last week (five innings, two hits, one earned run, three walks, 11 strikeouts).

My first thought was to go with the Brewers to win outright since they’ve been playing so well during their six-game homestand. But then I noticed both pitchers threw very well in the game time they got last season, causing me to lean towards the UNDER. But then I noticed that the Brewers and Rays are the two hottest-hitting teams in the MLB to start the season. Neither lineup has seen much of the opposing pitcher (if anything at all). That usually means “advantage pitcher,” and a low score is imminent.
