With Saturday’s game getting postponed, today’s contest will be the third in the series between the visiting Tampa Bay Rays and the Boston Red Sox. Game time at Fenway Park in Boston, MA, is scheduled for 1:35 p.m. EST, with coverage on MLB.TV.

Tampa Bay won the series opener on Thursday with a nice offensive performance, recording 13 hits in an 8-4 win. But in Game Two, it was all Boston as the Red Sox pitching staff shut the Rays down, winning 2-0.

Boston will send Payton Tolle to the mound to start the day. In three starts, Tolle has gone 1-1 with a 2.04 ERA and a 0.74 WHIP. He shut out the Detroit Tigers in his last start (May 4), going seven innings and giving up one hit and one walk and no earned runs (but two unearned runs) while striking out eight. Tolle has allowed just one home run so far.

As for the Rays, Tampa Bay is giving Nick Martinez the ball to start the day. Martinez is 3-1 in seven starts with a 1.71 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP. He has gone 6+ innings in four of his seven starts, including two of his last three.
