Baltimore Orioles vs Tampa Bay Rays Prediction & Picks - MLB

The top of the AL East will meet the bottom of the AL East tonight in Baltimore when the Tampa Bay Rays begin a 3-game set with the Baltimore Orioles. The Rays currently lead the Yankees by 4 games in the division, while the Orioles are over 15 games back.

These teams met for a 4-game series just a week ago in Tampa. Shockingly, the Orioles were able to take the 1st three games of the series, but came up short in their final game of achieving the sweep. They had their chance in the final game. They led 6-4 heading into the 7th inning. There, the Rays finally rallied and flipped the script to a 7-6 advantage. Bryan Baker was able to close it out for his 35th save of the season.

While momentum seemed to be building for the Orioles, things changed quickly after the loss in the final game of the series. They hosted the Yankees earlier this week and were swept in the 3-game series. They were only able to post 5 total runs in those 3 games. On the other side, the Rays did not have much success in their next series either. They lost 2 of 3 to the Blue Jays in their series.
