The Braves offense continues to redeem itself from a rather poor May by scoring 7 runs against the Rays in game 1 and now 9 runs in game 2. Ozuna hit a HR in consecutive games but this time that HR was only 1 of the 4 that the Braves. Ozuna went 3-for-5 with a HR, Olson's power reappeared with a very long HR and he went 2-for-4. Riley had another good game driving in 3 of the 9 runs and Kelenic as the leadoff hitter also hit a HR.

Rays, for their part, seem to be getting further away from any dispute for the wild card this year. They struck out 12 times yesterday. They are the MLB team with the fewest HRs with 67 and 2nd in allowing the most HRs with 93. 

Waldrep will have a 2nd start this year after a disastrous 1st where he allowed 7 ER to the Nationals in 3.2 innings. It has not been the dominant Braves campaign that was expected and the Phillies are 8 games ahead of them, but the record at Truist Park is still very good at 21-12. That's 3 games winning for the Braves in a row, the longest active streak for anyone in the MLB.
