The 29-33-12 Montreal Canadiens host the 41-26-7 Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday. The Habs beat the Florida Panthers at the Bell Centre on Tuesday, their fourth win in their last five games. It's too late in the season to be making any impact on the playoff picture but they have an opportunity to play spoiler for the rest of the campaign. They have not done well against the Lightning this season, but this is the second time that they have won four of five so have been playing better of late than the other three occasions they have taken them on. Nick Suzuki has led from the front, the captain netting 10 points in his last 10 games against the Lightning and 11 in 14 in his career so far.
Tampa is in the first wildcard spot as things stand, six points behind the Toronto Maple Leafs for third place in the Atlantic before they take on the Leafs on Wednesday. That makes this the second half of a back-to-back, the Lightning is 4-4 in such scenarios so far this season. Braydon Point has 17 points in his last 10 games and has a point in all three games with the Canadiens this season, including two goals. They have had no issues playing on the road of late, 8-1-1 in the last 10 that they have played on their travels ahead of their visit to Toronto. It has been a massive turnaround for their fortunes as they started 10-15-2.
