Two nations that will soon get down to business at the 2026 FIFA World Cup will go through the motions on Saturday, when Australia and Switzerland will clash at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California. This is a big opportunity for both teams to get up to speed with the tournament conditions, while both will also be looking to get it right tactically ahead of the real thing.
Realistically, this is a game that the Swiss should be looking forward to more than the Aussies. Murat Yakin's men warmed up nicely for this by hammering Jordan by four goals to one, showing lots of offensive quality, while the Aussies struggled to get going offensively against Mexico, losing by a goal to zero. One player who impressed against Jordan was Johan Manzambi, who looked very lively. The hungry youngster didn't score last time out, but if he can deliver a similar performance here, he may just send himself into the World Cup off the back of a goal-getting effort.

Our Switzerland vs Australia Prediction
Johan Manzambi has the potential to be one the 2026 World Cup's standout youngsters. The 20-year-old comes off the back of a fine season for Freiburg, where he quickly became a key player in a team that reached the final of th UEFA Europa League. He's hugely positive in his play, and is not shy to get into shooting positions, scoring seven goals in all competitions for Freiburg during the recently concluded campaign.
Having looked hungry in Switzerland's last friendly against Jordan, during which he took three shots, Manzambi, who is expected to play further forward for his nation, is worth betting on to boost his form ahead of the World Cup by scoring against an Australian team that lacks the quality of the Swiss.
Our Australia vs Switzerland Pick: Johan Manzambi to Score.
