The Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals will square off one final time this weekend in the decisive third game of their series, set for Sunday. This classic National League Central rivalry has been on full display, with each team taking a win in the first two matchups.
Friday’s opener saw the Cubs make history with a franchise-record eight home runs en route to an 11-3 blowout victory. But the Cardinals responded in Game 2 with an 8-6 win, snapping a four-game losing streak and reminding fans they remain a serious threat in the division race.
