The Orioles seemed hopeless, but the fiery O. Hearn continued his strong form, hitting a three-run home run to turn the score around. But Winn later tied the game at 4-4, and in the next inning, Arenado hit a home run followed by a pair of triples by Barrero and Walker. Winn drove in the Cardinals' final run on a night of strong hitting and 14 hits to win the game 7-4.

Orioles starter Sugano is struggling to get the first outs in games, but he managed to pitch five innings. On Tuesday, it was reliever Baker who took the brunt, allowing three earned runs. The opposite was true for the Cards' bullpen, with Maton and Helsley closing the gap without allowing a run and striking out three between them.
