Sky Blue (Gotham FC) will lock horns with Chicago Stars on Sunday evening in Matchday 7 of the 2025 NWSL at Red Bull Arena. Gotham FC will look to inflict more misery on Chicago and continue their impressive start to the season. Juan Amoros’ side is fourth in the league with 11 points, just four points behind league leaders KC Current. They are coming off a surprise 3-0 destruction of Washington Spirit on the road last weekend and will want to build on this impressive result.
Chicago Red Stars, on the other hand, are not just clicking this season. Lorne Donaldson’s side is last in the league with three points from six matches. They have lost five of their six assignments this season and are on a two-game slide. Chicago Stars were humbled 3-0 last weekend by San Diego Wave, recording only 37% ball possession. Donaldson will also be worried about his side’s discipline after committing 10 fouls against San Diego. They desperately need another win.
