The Seattle Storm (18-18) visit the Dallas Wings (9-27) on Friday, August 22, at the College Park Center.
This is the fourth time that the Wings and Storm will face each other this season. The Storm won the first two games, but the Wings returned the favor and handily won the third match.
However, the Wings are coming off three straight losses, and have lost eight of their last nine games. Prized rookie Paige Bueckers have been balling out recently, even exploding for 44 points on 17-21 shooting in the Wings' 81-80 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks. However, she hasn't had much help lately.
It doesn't bode well for the Wings that they've lost key players to injuries. They'll miss the services of Arike Ogunbowale, Li Yieru, and Tyasha Harris, probably for the rest of the season.
Meanwhile, the Storm is coming off a 94-88 victory over the Chicago Sky. Skyar Diggins and Nneka Ogwumike topscored with 24 and 21 markers, respectively. Three other Storm players scored in double digits.
The Storm have been struggling in the second half of the season, having lost seven of their last nine games. They still have the third-best defensive rating in the league, so that's something that they could lean on moving forward.
