Texas Rangers (5-5) and Seattle Mariners (4-7) will clash in the second game of this AL West Series on Tuesday night at Globe Life Field. The Rangers picked up an important 2-1 win in their first assignment to snap their four-game slide. JB Burger’s RBI double broke the tie, whereas Jacob deGrom and five relievers delivered a two-hitter to ensure the Rangers win this game. They’ll be eager to win the series with another victory tonight.
It was a disappointing night for the Mariners, who have now lost three consecutive matches and five of their previous six. Carl Raleigh, who led the league with 60 home runs last year, hit his first this year in the first inning. Interestingly, this was the only hit that deGrom allowed over five innings during his 250th career start. The Rangers will want to bounce back with a more convincing performance tonight.
