The Seattle Mariners face the Oakland Athletics at Sutter Health Park on Tuesday evening, as they look to follow up their resounding 9-2 success in the first game of the series.
That 9-2 victory was largely due to an astonishing six run third inning, in which Luke Raley and Dominic Canzone both hit two run homers. Randy Arozarena also contributed a two run homer in the ninth, to put the seal on a fabulous evening that moved the Mariners to within one game of the Athletics at the top of the AL West.
Tuesday night will see Emerson Hancock take the mound for the Mariners, whilst Luis Severino will assume starting duties for the Athletics. That matchup appears to favor Seattle slightly, as whilst Hancock has a respectable 3-2, 3.07 ERA record so far this season, poor recent display from Severino has seen him drop to 2.5 for the campaign.
