The Yankees (33-15) extended their current winning streak to 7 games on Sunday. They defeated the White Sox after falling behind 2-0 early. They scored 7 unanswered runs on the backs of Aaron Judge and Jon Berti’s homeruns. Carlos Rodon picked up his 5th win after striking out 6 in 6 innings of work. Their 14-3 record in the month of May is only rivaled by the Philadelphia Phillies who have the same record this month. The face the Seattle Mariners (25-22) who are in for a 4-game set during their 10-game road trip to the east coast. They lost their 1st series against the Baltimore Orioles after losing 6-3 on Sunday to them. Seattle will throw Logan Gilbert (3-2, 3.07), who took his 2nd loss of the season in his latest start. He gave up 3 runs on 4 hits against the Royals. That was off the back of his worst start of the season in his previous one where he allowed 8 runs on 9 hits against the Twins. The Yankees will have Marcus Stroman (3-2, 3.33) on the hill and he is coming off his best start of the season. Stroman shutout the Twins through his 6 innings of work while allowing just 2 hits.
