Colorado Rockies vs Seattle Mariners Prediction & Picks - MLB

An interleague series is taking place in Colorado this weekend. The Rockies are hosting the Seattle Mariners and are set to play game 2 of the 3-game series on Saturday night.

Game one was an exciting contest. Seattle took an early 3-1 lead after the first inning. Colorado fought back and took a 4-3 lead after 6 innings. After tying the game in the 7th, Seattle used a Lazaro Montes homer to take a 5-4 lead, which would become the final score. Andres Munoz picked up his 28th save by closing out the 9th inning.

Tonight, Bryce Miller is set to start for Seattle. He is just 4-9 with a 4.19 ERA on the season. He’s allowed 6 runs over 8.2 innings in his last 2 starts. Colorado will turn to Tomoyuki Sugano as their starter. Sugano has a winning record but a hefty 5.49 ERA. He has allowed 5 or more runs in 5 of his last 6 starts. With both starters coming into Coors Field with subpar ERAs, it is likely that we will see a fair number of runs scored in this one.

Neither team is heading to the postseason, but that has not affected the way they have swung their bats. Each team has seen their fair share of overs come through as of late. Both teams have weak bullpens as well, which is going to lend itself to each team needing plenty of run support.
