The Seattle Kraken face the Washington Capitals in a matchup of two teams coming off a defeat. This is a situation where the travel might beat the Kraken twice, as they’ve had to make the short trip from Philadelphia to Washington on the second night of a back-to-back. Washington, by contrast, is at home and had an extra day of rest, making an already tough spot even worse for the visitors.
The Kraken’s defense let down in a big way, which is far from ideal when facing a Washington squad looking for a bounce-back spot. The Capitals gave their worst showing of the year on defense against Vancouver, and their history says that they’re not likely to play that poorly a second time.
