In a Pacific Division tilt, the Vancouver Canucks will host the Seattle Kraken on Saturday night at Rogers Arena.
After defeating the Nashville Predators 4-3 in a shootout on Thursday, the Canucks will attempt to win back-to-back home games for the first time this season. Overall, they have won just seven of 32 outings in front of their fans in 2025-26.
It has been a very tough season for Vancouver, which is stuck at the bottom of the NHL with 48 points. The Calgary Flames are the only other team with fewer than 60 points (59). There has been little to cheer for Canucks fans, but the team has recently shown some improvement, going 2-1-1 over four games.
The Kraken have 67 points and are chasing a playoff spot. They are currently one point behind the San Jose Sharks for the last wild-card spot in the Western Conference. Every point is vital for Seattle, especially after losing four games in a row.
Seattle has tied its second-worst losing streak of the season, and another negative result against the NHL's basement club would be a massive blow for the team. Head coach Lane Lambert will undoubtedly want to see a spirited display from his troops on Saturday night.
