The St. Louis Blue (5-8-2) will play hosts to the Seattle Kraken (6-3-4) on Saturday evening. This will be the 1st meeting between the teams this season. After finishing off the month of October with 6 straight losses, the Blues have been 2-2 since turning the page in November. They are currently last in the league in goals allowed on the season with 58. That said, they are coming off a solid 3-0 victory over the 5-5-4 Buffalo Sabres. Joel Hofer stopped all 28 shots he faced. Winger, Mathieu Jospeh contributed a goal and 2 assists which doubled his output of both for the season. The Kraken have been up and down through the early portion of the season. They have yet to string together 3 wins for a winning streak, but have also not lost 3 in a row. They are 2nd to last in goals scored on the season with just 34 but have also been stingy with their defense and goaltending as they rank 8th in the leagues in terms of goals allowed with 38. Our St. Louis Blues vs Seattle Kraken Prediction
Both Hofer and Daccord are likely to start in net. Hofer had allowed multiple goals in every start up until his last game. Maybe he’s figured it out and is more comfortable now for the Blues but we don’t believe that is truly the case. Daccord has now given up 4 or more goals in 4 games this season, showing he is susceptible to letting goals string together and putting the Kraken in spots where they need to force the offense. We are going to play the over here in what should be an offensive minded game.
