The Los Angeles Kings (15-10-9, 4-6-4 Home) will host the Seattle Kraken (13-14-6, 6-7-3 Away) at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA. ESPN+ is scheduled to provide coverage of the game once it gets underway with the puck drop at 10 p.m. EST. Both teams were active Monday night, but this preview was written before they concluded.
These two teams just met in Seattle just under a couple of weeks ago. Jared McCain got Seattle on the board first at the 3:21 mark in the second, but the Kings wasted no time tying it up with a goal from Alex Laferriere at the 8:16 mark. Kevin Fiala gave the Kings the lead, 2-1, at 14:40 in the third until Matty Beniers tied it up at 2-2. Vince Dunn scored the winner for Seattle at the 1:21 point in OT. It was the fourth power play goal of the game. Seattle is currently last in the Pacific division and has gone 2-8 in their last ten games (not counting last night). As for Los Angeles, the Kings are fourth in the Pacific and have gone 4-4-2 in their last ten (not counting last night). The Kraken have a -21 goal differential while the Kings have a -2 differential.
