Seattle Kraken vs Calgary Flames Prediction & Picks - NHL

In a Pacific Division matchup, the Seattle Kraken hope to end a three-game losing skid against the Calgary Flames on Thursday at Scotiabank Saddledome.

Last week, Seattle put a stop to a six-game losing run with a 3-2 overtime victory against the Los Angeles Kings. The team finally produced a well-balanced performance on both ends of the ice. Yet, they now find themselves on another losing streak.

The Kraken are mainly suffering from a lack of goals, as they have the league’s poorest offensive record. Lane Lambert’s team is averaging only 2.48 goals a night in 2025-26. On Thursday, Seattle will meet the second-lowest scorers in the NHL.

The Flames are posting 2.50 goals per game and remain near the bottom of the Western Conference despite a recent upturn in form. Ryan Huska’s men have won four of their last six games. Eight of Calgary’s 13 wins this season have come since Nov. 19, giving the team hope that they can get back into the postseason race.

Special teams could play a vital role in deciding the winner between these two on Thursday. The Kraken have the league’s worst penalty kill at 67.8 percent, and their chances for success would greatly improve if they can do a better job in these situations. At the same time, Calgary has the worst power play at 13.6 percent. Huska’s side would be much more competitive if it began to find consistent success with the man advantage.
