The Seattle Kraken will try to keep their fading postseason hopes alive Saturday afternoon when they face the Sabres at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY. Fans can enjoy the action once the puck drops at 5:30 p.m. EST on ESPN+.
Seattle last played on Thursday, beating the Tampa Bay Lightning on the road, 4-3 in overtime. The victory ended a four-game losing streak that had begun with a loss to Tampa Bay at home (March 17), 6-2. With the win over Tampa Bay, their record improved to 32-29-10 with 74 points, three behind the Nashville Predators, who currently hold the final wild card spot in the Western Conference.
As for Buffalo, the Sabres would like to get back on the right side of the scoreboard. They last played on Friday night when they hosted the Detroit Red Wings. It wasn’t a competitive game as the Red Wings led by three after the first period, 3-0, en route to a 5-2 win. It was their third loss in a row.
This will be the second of two games scheduled this season between the Kraken and Sabres. Buffalo won the first (on December 14), 3-1 in Seattle.
