Two teams outside the Liga MX playoff zone will clash when Atlas FC plays Atlético San Luis in Matchday 13.
Atlas is undoubtedly on the rise under Diego Cocca. The Argentine coach returned three years after the epic triumph that led Atlas to a two-time championship. Upon his return, he took charge of the Red and Blacks at their lowest point, but has already managed to lift his squad's spirits with wins over Necaxa 3-2 and Juárez 3-1. Montenegrin striker Uros Djurdjevic is also on a roll with Atlas, scoring three goals in his team's last four matches.
Even with Atlas' apparent momentum, sportsbooks consider it unlikely that Atlas will even be able to draw next Friday against Atlético San Luis at the Estadio Alfonso Lastras. Atlas has a lengthy injury list, and Diego Cocca himself called for an adjustment of expectations, as their two previous wins still haven't put them in the league's top 10.
