The 2025 MLS action this weekend will see San Jose Earthquakes and LAFC clash at Levi's Stadium on Saturday night. San Jose Earthquakes are ninth in the West with 35 points from 29 matches. Fortunately, for them, they are still within a touching distance of the final series playoff positions, sitting just four points behind the seventh-placed Portland. They'll look to bounce back from their 3-1 loss against Austin before the break, a result that ended their three-game winning run.
LAFC, on the other hand, has struggled to replicate last season's form, which saw them win the Western Conference race. They are fifth in the standings with 41 points from 26 matches. The Black & Gold still have a mathematical chance of clinching the conference's top spot, although it will take something spectacular for that to happen. However, Steve Cherundolo will be more concerned with a strong finish to set the stage for a bruising postseason campaign.
