St. Louis Cardinals vs San Francisco Giants Prediction & Picks - MLB

St Louis Cardinals of National League Central take on San Francisco Giants of National League West in the first of their three-game MLB series. Giants beat Cardinals 3-0 in their series start of the month but they hold an away record of 26-49, only Colorado Rockies have a poorer record on the road. The Orange and Black also head into this one on the back of a 3-0 series defeat to San Diego Padres.

As for Cardinals, they have a Last 10 record of 4-6, the same as Giants. The Cards won their last series on home turf, but they lost their previous two. Cardinals are favorites to win, just. 

While we do agree with the sportsbooks, for our prediction we're looking at the Totals market. Specifically, we're looking at over 7.5 runs to be scored in the series opener. In four of Cardinals last six, 9 or more runs have been scored. For Giants, five of their last six has featured 9 or more runs scored. We're being slighly cautious with our 7.5 pick, but we think they'll be a few runs scored by both sides here.
