A battle of West Coast teams will take place tonight and begin a 3-game series in Seattle, Washington. The Seattle Mariners will host the San Francisco Giants in the final game of the Friday night slate.

San Francisco won 3 of their last 4 games and have already played in several high-scoring games this month. In fact, 8 of their 11 games during July ended with a combined score of double-digits. Rafael Devers and Casey Schmitt each have 50 or more RBIs at the break, and both have 19 homers to go with those RBIs. They will likely continue to provide the offensive spark for these Giants as the 2nd half of the season begins.

Seattle has not been getting the results they were hoping for as the 1st half of the season wound down. They lost 5 straight games before defeating Tampa Bay 8-2 in the final game before the break. They hope that starter Bryce Miller will be able to take that momentum, as he will start this game. He has a strong ERA but was erratic in his last start. He walked 4 batters in 5 innings of work against Miami and allowed 4 runs on 9 hits while taking the loss.
