A good crowd of fans is expected for the first game of the series when the Giants and Padres face off. For the Giants, Korean CF Jung Hoo Lee even has his own particular fan base, which jumped with each of the 11 doubles he hit this season and also for his high AVG of .324.

However, it seems that the Padres are the ones who are hurting in this first San Francisco-San Diego series, as they lost and were unexpectedly swept by the Rays in their own backyard, a Padres offense that had abruptly deflated since April 22 in the second game of the series against the Tigers in Detroit. They only managed five runs in the final 25 innings, and with Giants ace Logan Webb on the mound to open the series, the first game is expected to be low-scoring again.
