The Dodgers had started as favorites in Game 1 of their series in Los Angeles against the Giants, winning by -175 odds. But as early as the third inning of Friday's game, the Giants took a 5-1 lead thanks to Schmitt's first grand slam. Logan Webb earned his sixth win of the season and the Giants ultimately won 6-2.

Also on Friday, there were solo home runs by Adames and Knizner, and Teoscar Hernandez also hit his 12th home run of the season for the Dodgers.

Game 2 will be the final game of Saturday's MLB season, and the Giants and Dodgers are now tied for the lead in the Western Division with identical records at 41-29.

This is expected to be a game with much more pitching, although the Dodgers' favoritism at the bookmakers remains identical for Game 2.
